Leeteuk had originally been placed in the 306 reserve at Gyeonggido Uijeongbu, but then had been moved to the celebrity recruits along with Sangchu by the Ministry of Defense.

B1A4 Sandeul’s fans donate over 330 pounds of rice in honor of his birthday

In honor of B1A4 Sandeul‘s 22nd birthday (Korean age) on the 20th, his fans donated 150kg (330lb 11oz) of rice to charity.

According to social enterprise Nanum Store, B1A4′s fan page ‘Don’t Call Me Noona‘ donated 150 kg to the Seoul SOS Children’s Village. The children’s center is a home for children who don’t have parents or have parents who are unable to care for them.

‘Don’t Call Me Noona’s camp stated, “To celebrate Sandeul’s birthday, we prepared a surprise event on our fan page. As supportive and loving fans of Sandeul, we will spread love by continuing to help those in need in the future.”

It has been revealed that the 150 kg of rice can feed up to 1,300 children.

Their faces say: "Happy Birthday, Sandeul! We love you!"

2PM to kick off their return with a comeback trailer

 

Rejoice Hottests for 2PM is indeed coming back!

JYP Entertainment confirmed the news so it is now certain that the boys will be returning to their fans with new music. “2PM’s comeback preparations are being carried out, and ahead of their upcoming Korean promotions after 2 years, a comeback trailer will be released on the 25th,” they said.

This comeback trailer will be revealed through YouTube as well as Naver on March 25th to gather up excitement for this ‘beastly idol’ group’s return!

That’s not all for in addition to online, the trailer will be broadcast through various theaters in Korea, as well as billboards at New York’s Times Square, and at London’s Piccadilly at a later time, making this an international-scale comeback!

The agency guarantees that this is a return you can look forward to, stating, “This will be 2PM’s largest-scale project yet as they pour in all their energy they’ve stored over the 2 years they’ve waited to promote in Korea again… Please look forward to the trailer that will be revealed first.”

G-Dragon reveals “I am good when it comes to dating” and other tidbits

VIPs were finally able to catch ‘Thank You‘ on the 15th and were surprised upon hearing some of the things G-Dragon revealed.

Although many would assume G-Dragon has been with his agency YG Entertainment for most of his childhood, he revealed that wasn’t the case sharing, “I first entered SM Entertainment and trained there for five years and then moved to YG Entertainment.”

G-Dragon also opened up about how Yang Hyun Suk trained him, “He made me write and compose a song each week. That was when I was in my 3rd year of high school and now six years have passed. At first, I didn’t know how and where to start. But after getting used to it for one year I wrote lyrics naturally as if I was eating meals”, explaining how he became the successful songwriter he is today.

G-Dragon also expressed his confidence in the dating field sharing, “I am good when it comes to dating”, making fan girls wish he was their boyfriend.

TVXQ’s Japanese single “Catch Me -If You Wanna-” certified gold in Japan

TVXQ‘s latest Japanese single “Catch Me -If You Wanna-” has officially been certified gold in Japan according to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

The RIAJ unveiled the list of certified gold productions for the month of January on the 10th, and “Catch Me -If You Wanna-”, which was released on January 16th, was certified gold for selling over 100,000 copies. The Japanese single album sold 84,666 copies on the first day of its release and set a new record in Japan by becoming the first foreign artist to top the Oricon Weekly Single Chart twelve times.

The duo also revealed that they will be releasing their new Japanese album, ‘TIME‘ in March and will embark on a five-dome tour in Japan starting at the Saitama Super Arena on April 27th.

In other news, Yunho is currently starring in the SBS drama ‘Queen of Ambition‘, while Changmin is appearing on the new KBS 2TV variety show, ‘Moonlight Prince‘.

B1A4′s Sandeul revealed to be recovering after surgery on knee

B1A4‘s Sandeul has unfortunately undergone surgery on his knee for cartilage damage.

WM Entertainment updated fans on the 13th with the news: “Sandeul felt pain around his knee last week and was diagnosed after visiting the hospital. He was told that it is meniscus injury and after being diagnosed, he underwent surgery.”

Sandeul is resting and although he is fine to go about his daily activities, it is said that he is not ready for stage performances.

A representative commented, “Luckily, B1A4 has ended their album promotions so Sandeul is getting rest and quickly recovering.. He will be taking on the schedules that have been set before, but for the time being, it will be difficult for him to stand on stage and dance.”

We hope Sandeul gets plenty of rest and recovers quickly.

Super Junior‘s Yesung has released the music video for “Gray Paper“!

As reporter earlier, Kangta has returned as a producer for the upcoming SBS drama ‘Wind Blows in Winter‘ OST. He’s teamed up with Super Junior‘s Yesung for the first song release.

“Gray Paper” is described as a pop ballad that portrays the sad love between Oh Soo (Jo In Sung) and Oh Young (Song Hye Gyo) with the help of Yesung’s soft vocals and Kangta’s emotion-packed lyrics. It also serves as one of the main theme songs of the drama, so you’ll be sure to hear it often as you watch the drama premiere (on the 13th).

Setelah menikmati kesuksesan dari mini album solo pertamanya 'I', Kim Jaejoong akan merilis kemasan ulang dari album terdahulunya itu.

Kesuksesan album debut solonya juga terlihat jelas dengan terjual laris di berbagai Negara di Asia, dan single "Mine" yang terdapat pada album tersebut telah pernah menjadi no #1 pada chart musik real time pada saat peluncuran video musiknya tanggal 16 Januari, begitu juga dengan album 'I' yang pernah berada pada peringkat #1 di berbagai chart realtime, chart harian dan chart mingguan.

CJeS Entertainment mengumumkan pada 7 Februari bahwa Jaejoong akan merilis kemasan ulang dari album solo pertamanya 'I'. Album yang akan dikemas ulang itu berjudul 'Y' yang berisikan lima lagu dari Album 'I' dan 2 lagu tambahan termasuk lagu "Only Love" yang ia bawakan pada konsernya bulan lalu di Kintex Ilsan.

Album kemasan ulang 'Y' dijadwalkan akan dirilis pada 26 Februari. Pemesanan secara online dan offline akan dimulai pada 13 Februari.

miss A’s Suzy to miss her high school graduation

miss A‘s Suzy will be missing her high school graduation ceremony.

According to JYP Entertainment, though Suzy planned to attend the graduation at Seoul Performing Arts High School on the 7th KST, she’ll be unable to participate due to her schedule.

Suzy stated, “I think I had a joyful life as a student. My high school days were really great. I’m now graduating high school and becoming an adult. I’ll be showing the sides of myself I haven’t been able to show due to my age as much as I want from now on.”

In other news, Suzy has been cast in the upcoming MBC drama ‘Book of the House of Gu‘, which will premiere in April.

G-Dragon to endorse makeup brand ‘The Saem’ alongside IU

Big Bang‘s G-Dragon has been picked up as the latest endorsement model for The Saem. He’ll be promoting the makeup brand alongside singer IU, who became its exclusive model last year.

The Saem stated, “As we felt G-Dragon would best express our 2013 campaign ‘Global Echo The Saem’, we’ve chosen him as the ‘Global Echo Star’. G-Dragon was chosen as the most beautiful face to represent the free-spirited, happy, colorful aspects of nature.”

G-Dragon has already begun shooting commercials, starting his official promotions for the brand this past February 4th. He also tweeted the photo below from the commercial shoot to give fans a better look at the concept.

The advertisements featuring G-Dragon will be revealed starting in March.

Instiz has certified SISTAR19′s “Gone Not Around Any Longer” as an All-Kill

SISTAR19 has joined the Leessang in achieving a certified All-Kill for their hit “Gone Not Around Any Longer“.

An Instiz certified all-kill (“AK”) occurs when an individual song sweeps all of South Korea’s major music charts simultaneously placing first on both the real-time and daily charts.

Immediately upon release, SISTAR19 took first place on real-time charts and have maintained their first place for the past four days. The sub-unit, consisting of vocalist Hyorin and rapper Bora, teamed up with producer Brave Brothers once again for their new title track, which is a song that expresses the feelings of both falling in love and drifting apart.

The lyrics talk not only about the parting, but also the growing of their body and mind. Director Joo Hee Sun, who also directed SISTAR‘s “Alone“, also participated in SISTAR19′s new music video.

BoA releases making-of film for “Disturbance” MV with SHINee’s Taemin

BoA recently revealed a new single “Disturbance” featuring SHINee‘s Taemin, and has now released a making-of clip for the filming of the music video.

Directed by her brother Kwon Soon Wook, the behind-the-scenes footage shows that the two have a great working relationship, laughing and being jovial on the set.  There is also footage of both alternate endings.

Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk took a celebratory picture with the awards the group received from the ‘22nd Seoul Music Awards‘.

Taecyeon rumored to be paired up with Taiwanese singer and actress Wu Ying Jie for ‘world version’ of ‘We Got Married’

As previously reported, 2PM‘s Taecyeon is said to be in talks for a ‘world version’ of the popular faux-marriage variety program ‘We Got Married‘, and now there is word on who his partner may be if the idol does indeed star in the show.

According to a report, an insider from the Taiwanese entertainment industry revealed, “Wu Ying Jie[stage name: Gui Gui] has been confirmed to appear as Taecyeon’s on-screen wife on ‘We Got Married – World Version’… The contract has already been completed, and she is waiting for the filming date.”

Wu Ying Jie, who is also known as Gui Gui, is a Taiwanese singer and actress, who debuted as part of the idol group ‘Hey Girl‘. Since then, she has been active in the entertainment industry taking on acting roles as well as MC roles. She is also said to speak three languages including her native language as well as Japanese and English.

Regarding the report, JYP Entertainment told one media outlet: “Taecyeon is still not confirmed for the ‘world version’ of ‘We Got Married’. He is still looking over the offer… MBC has not revealed any information to us, so we don’t know anything [regarding his rumored partner]. As of now, Taecyeon is still looking over it.”

To another source, they commented, “Several stars are in consideration to become Taecyeon’s partner. Wu Ying Jie is one of them, but nothing is certain…. Everything will probably be confirmed next week.”

As mentioned before, the ‘world version’ of the show will star two couples with one member of each couple being from Korea, and the other member being from overseas.

Once filming is completed, the show is planned to be broadcast in many countries, but whether it will be broadcast in Korea as well, is unknown at the moment.

In related news, KARA‘s Nicole is said to be the other idol in consideration for the same ‘world version’ of ‘We Got Married’ and is currently in discussion about taking on the offer.

On January 31st, stars, idol groups, and musicians gathered at the Olympic Park in Seoul for the ‘22nd Seoul Music Awards‘.

The awards show first began in 1990 and is held annually by Sports Seoul to recognize outstanding achievements in the Korean music industry. It is one of the big four music award ceremonies in Korea, alongside the ‘Mnet Asian Music Awards’, ‘Golden Disk Awards’, and ‘Melon Music Awards’.
